I heard a commentary by Mumia Abu Jamal today about Harriet Tubman, who led over a thousand slaves to freedom. Her comment was, “…I’d have saved more, if they’d known they were ’slaves’…”
Stay true to your truth! It is the answer to your great grandchildren who will look back and ask, “why didn’t anybody DO anything?”

let me get this straight… because what you did failed and people now take you even less seriously than before, you want to repeat the same tactic to obtain some sort of negotiation? i guess our tuition money IS going to the wrong places if you haven’t gotten a decent enough education to recognize what a pointless idea that is.

NYU was right to do so. YOU should have initiated negotiations in the first place, before taking irrationally protesting.

Maybe NYU did put students first by giving the majority of students their center for student life back from the clutches of a loud and noisy few who feel that their beliefs are universal, rather than marginal. The group claims that possibly even as much as 1,000 people were supporting their rally, which may be an inflated number, but let’s use it. NYU has greater than 20,000 students on its rolls. Less than 5% believe that they are speaking for the rest.

EJ seems to think that Jan is foolish for berating the intelligence of others - maybe Take Back NYU is eager to speak for the whole of New York University? I believe it was Bertrand Russell who once said “The problem with this world is that the ignorant are so cocksure, yet the intelligent are so full of doubt.” Maybe a glance in the mirror will enlighten these wayward members of the NYU community.

The NYU Adminstration had no reason to negotiate with people that take over their building.

The TBNYU organization is the bully — by rushing into a building, taking over an area and sending an employee to the hospital.

If NYU would have negotiated they would have been very wrong.

This group seems to be very supportive of the Gazans. Just like Israel is very correct in not negotiating with the terrorist and bombers there, NYU must not be terrorized by the terrorist in your group. TBNYU seems to be controlled by an element from that part of the world.

Perhaps, you should have done a little history and background check into NYU, Look at the make-up of the Board of Directors….you think they are going to send 13 scholarships to Gaza…not in your lifetime, pals!

if you all hate nyu so much - why go there? you want lower tuition, but also full scholarships for people in gaza. i can’t think of something more contradictory. have fun finishing your degree at community college.
