Hundreds of supporters of the NYU occupation, along with the infamous Rude Mechanical Orchestra, have broken through the police barriers and TAKEN THE STREET!!! They are screaming and singing “We’re not gonna take it!”

Good work on injuring 2 guards, that always looks good for a peaceful protest. What about the other students who want to the use the 3rd floor, arent you being unfair to them?

I don’t understand what you really want here, NYU is a private institution, you have no tax (NY residents) have no money going forcefully going to it. If you do not like how it is run, why don’t you tell mommy and daddy not to pay your tuition there and go to the different school or a state/city (public) school where everything is transparent to the public…

Good to commit yourself to nonviolence and stick to it. That shows you’re reasonable, and your goals are just ones. Hope you get what you’re asking. I was just having a conversation about takin’ it to the streets when I found out about this.

i love the video that shows everybody flaking out when they realize that they’re going to be arrested. yay solidarity! and you wonder why new york resents NYU students. they call us the cancer of new york and it’s not just b/c of our overtaking of the village, but general attitudes. it might be hard to generalize thousands of students but there are a few *cough* who make it their mission to make it seem like we are all like this.
